Why is ASA Qualified to Offer ScopeMatch
One of the big reasons engineers seem to be struggling with how to match the right scope to
their work, as well as with a number of other technical matters, has been the unfortunate
proliferation of both bad information and providers of bad information. Talk with anyone
that's been on-scene for more than ten years and they'll explain that if it doesn't make sense now.
ASA is stepping into this role for a variety of reasons.
Credibility and Experience - From the 80's until the early 2000's, Mike Williams was
primarily a consultant in the field of clock and timing engineering. A significant part
of that dealt with associated high-precision time-interval measurement. For much of the
90's, Mike worked closely with HP's (Agilent now) scope division in Colorado Springs,
the pulse-generator group in Boeblingen Germany, and the TIA group in Santa Clara.
These divisions employed Mike to help their highest-end customers in the US, Japan and Europe
better understand both stimulus and response issues associated with high-speed digital measurement.
Mike holds a number of patents in time-interval measurement for which ASA receives royalties. He
is the Chief Designer for the M1 Oscilloscope Tools product family which supports more kinds of
oscilloscopes than any other provider on the market, and which introduced numerous
industry firsts.
Connections - Being the only company focused on a multi-vendor, multi-channel oscilloscope marketplace,
ASA has a number of partnerships in place. Where we don't have partnerships explicitly in place, such
as with companies that want to see us as "competitors", we still have strong lines of communication
open. With so many possibilities, we can help you quickly secure the best price for your instrument.
