Remote Analysis
M1 Reader™ is a low-cost, full-capability
derivative of M1 Oscilloscope Tools... Reader is designed to put
the full and complete power of M1-OT on the laptops of every engineer,
technician and other interested party on your team, for about the
cost of a copy of Excel. Traditional scope tools work at the scope
and in the lab. Reader changes all of that by empowering your team
members to check waveforms and generate answers to questions that
depend on your waveforms on their laptops as easily as your finance
guys might check some numbers in Excel while they are in a "meeting"
at Starbucks.
The single difference between Reader and OT has to do with extracting
waveforms directly from oscilloscopes. M1 Reader doesn't take
waveforms in directly from scopes, and M1 OT does. Reader, analyzes
waveform and waveform sequences saved by M1 Oscilloscope Tools. The
combination of OT and any number of copies of Reader gets your team
out of the lab, while connecting all of them with a single powerful
analysis tool, and a common user-interface, automation standard and
data format. To understand more about the unique power that M1 Reader
can bring to your engineering enterprise, check out our

Ease of Use
From the very start, ease of use was a driving factor in the design
of M1™ Oscilloscope Tools™. A great deal of effort was
put into designing an interface that was both approachable and
intuitive to the novice users, while not hiding M1 OT's powerful
functionality from the sophisticated user. In addition, by providing
a common UI for all of your scopes, regardless of manufacturer,
M1 OT™ allows you to switch between scopes more quickly because
you don't need to reacquaint yourself with a different interface.
Ease of use also comes from M1 OT's embedded intelligence
features automatically taking care of numerous tasks without
requiring your input. At startup,
AutoMeasure™ will detect your scope, classify your signals,
and bring up a relevant set of measurements without your having had
to touch a single button. The
Hidden Anomaly Locater™ (HAL™) will scan your
waveforms and report any potential problems to you, without your
having had to set anything up or know what kinds of problems to
look for. Status indicators keep you informed of what M1 is doing. Other, smaller, bits of built-in intelligence are
sprinkled throughout M1 OT™, all with the purpose of making
your work easier to accomplish.
No matter how easy it is to use, it's at least as important that
the UI enable you to effectively do your work. M1 OT's
purpose-driven interface makes moving across the waveform surface
both within and across acquisitions more effective than what
you're doing now. All of the tools and controls you might need
in a given situation are readily available with just a few clicks.
