M1 Cirrus Promotion

Eligibility

• Available to owners of Agilent, Tektronix, and LeCroy real-time Scopes purchased as new directly from the manufacturer or from MetricTest that qualify for M1 Scope Expert™ or M1 Scope Specialist™. Units delivered as “refurbished” under the Agilent CertiPrime™ program are eligible if the unit was purchased directly from Agilent or MetricTest. Any other refurbished or used scopes are not eligible at this time.
• Must be a current employee of a company with 25 or more full-time employees that makes hardware rather than software products, or a current full-time employee of a US or Canadian government lab.
• The company must hold title to the oscilloscope with which the license is associated. No rentals, leases, or loaned equipment are eligible.
• The oscilloscope must remain within North America for the M1 Cirrus license to remain valid.
• ASA must receive a completed application for your M1 Cirrus license within 30 days of the date of initial delivery of the eligible scope from the vendor. ASA, its employees, assigns, and agents are not responsible or liable for delays in delivery of your application to ASA caused by weather conditions, carrier delays, equipment malfunctions, or any other circumstances beyond our control.
  
  You will qualify to apply for the M1 Cirrus promotion if and only if you fulfill all of the above requirements.
  
  If you qualify, please download, fill out and sign the Application Form from this link. Once that is done, you must transmit that form, along with supporting documentation as specified on the form, to ASA. Once ASA has approved and verified your information, you will be instructed on how to download M1 Cirrus and obtain your license.

Pre-Application

As the Cirrus Program can change from time to time, and as ASA reserves the right to modify or cancel the program without warning, a pre-application process exists in Cirrus whereby a customer can maintain a right to complete their application based on the eligibility rules in place on the date the pre-application is received by ASA rather than the date the completed application is received. If not completed, the rights held under the pre-application will expire after 90 days.

Future Purchase Rights

• Within the first 60 days after receiving an M1 Cirrus license, the licensee has the right to upgrade to a full license of the then-current version of M1 Oscilloscope Tools at a cost of ½ the normal list price of such license. After the first 60 days, an M1 Cirrus license may not be upgraded. If the licensee chooses to purchase the upgrade:
• They are eligible to purchase (on the same PO as the upgrade) an accessory package consisting of a 1-year Subscription for the upgraded license and 3 copies of M1 Reader™
• The accessory package is priced at $1250.00, a discount of 50% off from normal list prices
• Alternatively, the accessory package can be obtained at no charge – to qualify, licensee must certify in writing that they will not add any new manufacturer application software to the M1 Cirrus scope, nor use any software that was purchased with the scope, for a period of 3 months. Examples of application software would be jitter analysis, serial data analysis, eye diagram analysis, compliance tests, software triggering, etc.
• If licensee selects the no-charge option and ASA later determines that they have violated the certification, licensee will be invoiced for the full list price of the accessory package. Failure to pay within 30 days will result in a cancellation of the M1 Cirrus license.
• They are eligible to purchase (on the same PO as the upgrade) any combination of other ASA products at a 25% discount. This offer may not be combined with the following offer.
• They are eligible to purchase, within 60 days of the date of the upgrade PO, any combination of ASA products on a single PO at a 20% discount. This offer may not be combined with the previous offer.

Restrictions

• Only one license of M1 Cirrus can be installed per eligible scope.
• M1 Cirrus is based on M1 Oscilloscope Tools v4. Therefore, it does not include newer features such as Hidden Anomaly Location, Scope Animation, Send Waveform, etc. To obtain these features, customer can purchase an upgrade within the first 60 days as detailed above.
• If a waveform data file that was saved by M1 Cirrus is loaded into M1 OT, Hidden Anomaly Location will be disabled for that waveform.
• This promotion is not available to companies in the test & measurement business, software companies, measurement-for-hire companies, rental/leasing companies, and consulting firms.
• If ASA feels that an applicant is a current or potential competitor, or is otherwise in conflict with ASA’s business objectives, we reserve the right to exclude them from this promotion.
• The installation is not portable. Once M1 Cirrus is installed on the qualifying scope, it cannot be moved to a different scope.
• f the upgrade package is purchased, the license may not be transferred to another scope for at least 90 days after the upgrade.
• The installation is a one time action. If the program is uninstalled, it cannot be reinstalled.
• ASA reserves the right to limit quantities, and the right to modify or terminate the Cirrus program at any time without prior notice.
• Once per calendar quarter, a license extension file must be downloaded and installed for M1 Cirrus to continue functioning. If it is not installed, M1 Cirrus will slowly degrade in capabilities.
• M1 Cirrus does include advertisements relevant to a scope user. They are non-intrusive, and do not gather any data from the user.
• ASA may occasionally request Licensee to provide the Cirrus License Enforcement Code generated by the software. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the Cirrus license.
• The customer is financially responsible for the actual cost of a full M1 Oscilloscope Tools license if ASA discovers that intentionally false information was used in obtaining an M1 Cirrus license.
