Portfolio Comparison - Scope Manufacturers*

(See comprison for EDA & digitizer porfolios instead)

If you make a technical product, and you want to win, buy only the best tools. To do otherwise is self-defeating. ScopeCo makes great scopes. But their software is unimaginative, proprietary, severely limited, expensive and deployed under a harsh pricing model.

Our strategy at ASA is simple: do the opposite of ScopeCo. What's the opposite of unimaginative, proprietary, severely limited, expensive and deployed under a harsh pricing model?

Try out M1 if you want to experience the answer.

Tables are based on ~2007 data - Since then, the scope manufacturers have added a few additional boxes to their charts; primarily new Compliance Tests and new instrument families. They have also however lost a few boxes since newer s/w add-ons no longer support older scope families.

ASA has added a considerably larger number of boxes than ScopeCo; new Compliance Apps as well as new measurements & debug tools, support for a large number of new instrument vendors and families, and even a entirely new tool, M1 Emergency License Server.

Portfolio pricing is based on current (Dec 2013) portfolio composition.
