How ScopeMatch™ Works
Using the ScopeMatch service is straightforward. Just follow the steps below:
- 1. Purchase the ScopeMatch service from ASA's online store. Note that there
are two fees based upon what range scope you're in... $495 for scopes under 6
GHz and $995 for scopes 6 GHz and up. You will find help on that page in figuring
out which range to use.
- 2. ASA will send you two documents to fill out and return to us:
- - A standard two-way NDA
- - A questionnaire about your current and expected scope use
- 3. After reviewing the form (1-2 days), ASA will contact you to set up a
phone meeting at a mutually acceptable time.
- 4. Phone meeting - the ASA engineer may drill deeper into some of your answers,
or ask for clarification. He'll give you a preliminary opinion as to what sorts of
scopes best align with the kind of work you described and what sorts of procurement
sources he thinks will work best for you.
- 5. Once we know what you need, we'll help you try to locate an instrument that meets those
needs from the best possible source. You don't always have to buy new... there are a number of
excellent providers in the secondary and rental instrumentation markets, as well as refurbished
programs at the scope companies that warranty their instruments as-new. We're fortunate to have
relationships with many of these companies.
- 6. A final report will be prepared that suggests which scope models best align with your
current and projected work, and why, and will list two recommended procurement sources. Information
on the specific instruments they are offering and the price they quoted ASA, as well as complete
contact information will be included in the report. This will generally be completed within 7 days.
Notes:
- ASA can shop the entire market and provide you with quotes directly from up to five sources.
An additional fee applies to manage the additional complexity.
- A ScopeMatch consult for multiple scopes or for your entire lab or organization can
be quoted. Click here to start the process.
- An "Enterprise" level of ScopeMatch can also be quoted. Under the Enterprise level of service,
ASA can tailor a plan to help a company procure the right instruments under a variety of possible
approaches... maybe just high end and mid-range scopes... maybe some other approach.
Click here to have someone contact you about Enterprise.
- The ScopeMatch service is provided at a fee significantly below ASA's normal consulting price.
One of the ways we can afford to offer this is that the process is streamlined to get right to
the pertinent data quickly using forms and questions based upon years of experience. This will
be more than sufficient for most customers. If the process needs to go beyond the standard
product, the customer will be informed and can be handled consultively.
- If you choose to deploy M1 Oscilloscope Tools Standard Edition (Cirrus Program), 50% of your
basic ScopeMatch fee can be applied toward upgrade if you choose to.
